About

Amanda McColl is an abstract painter based on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. She is a passionate artist and takes great pride in creating art that can be enjoyed and loved by others. Each artwork created is unique, speaking one thing to one and another to someone else. Shocks of colour and undulations of texture are at the core of her work. She is proud to present a selection of work, each is individual, bespoke, unrepeated and in varied sizes. Optical compilations of colour, texture, shapes, contours and movement are evident in each work.  Her preferred medium is acrylic on canvas or paper, using brushes and palette knives.

Amanda briefly studied Art and Design at Prahran College before pursuing other passions and moving overseas with her family. In 1996 Amanda was once again able to dedicate time to her art and in 1998 was able to turn her passion into a full time commitment.

Amanda has exhibited in non-commercial spaces in Hong Kong and Melbourne many times over the last 27 years. Her paintings are held in collections in the USA, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.
